A filmmaker, surfer, and all-around adventurer, born and raised in Orange, California.
What started as a random elective film class in high school quickly turned into a lifelong passion for storytelling. I began by making short films, and that narrative foundation now shapes everything I shoot, from surf films to documentaries. Filmmaking has become more than just a hobby. It’s been the driving force behind countless adventures, meaningful projects, and stories told.
I started surfing my senior year of high school, when a friend talked me into joining the school surf class. After my first wave, I was hooked.
A year later, in film school, I began shooting surf and spent all my savings on a used Sony telephoto lens. By the end of my first semester, I was getting so many requests to film that I started skipping class to shoot. Then a friend invited me to Indonesia to film their first movie, Genesis, and I dropped out to go.
Along the way, I’ve been honored to have my work recognized with awards at film festivals, but what drives me most are the friendships made, the lessons learned, and the stories told through every project. For me, filmmaking is about more than just the final product—it’s about the journey of creating something meaningful with others and telling stories.
